Library Conversation Series : Rights and Negotiations for Photographers with Rich Kelly

Join us for our next conversation series with Rich Kelly, who will be leading a discussion on a variety of topics in rights, negotiations, and legal issues for photographers: dealing with clients, copyright issues, negotiating contracts, licensing, compensation, and more. Come prepared with questions and thoughts regarding the ever-changing business world of photography and get some great advice on functioning in today's market as an independent content creator.

Richard Dale Kelly is a Pittsburgh-based photographer, producer, educator and lecturer. A recipient of the 2011 United Nations' International Photographic Council's Leadership Award and a 2009 Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, He is the President of Indigo Factory, Inc - a multimedia production company. He is an Associate Professor of Photography at Pittsburgh Filmmakers, a Program Associate at Silver Eye Center for Photography, and lectures internationally on business issues for imaging professionals. Richard is currently the visuals consultant at Public Source, an independent investigative news organization. He is a past president of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and currently serves on the ASMP board of directors.
